It's About Time

Boomers, is it me or has time been speeding up significantly since we crossed that threshold into middle-age (albeit years ago)? I’m not talking about the typical Monday through Friday workweek that skips two days and then starts again before you even realize that there was a weekend in between. I am talking about years advancing faster than a PowerPoint presentation on automatic timing. Do you follow me? Well, I’m glad you do, because you know what they say about misery. Come take at trip with me down memory lane, and I’ll show you what I mean about fleeting time.

There I am, a scrawny, four year old girl, clogging around in a long skirt and mother’s old high heel shoes, and playing grown up with my miniature dolls who live inside their tin doll house. There was no Pre-Kindergarten back then, so I am enjoying my last year of freedom before starting school.  I wish I could tell you that my childhood was spent doing exciting things like children of affluent people do, but my family was poor and we didn’t roll like that, so let’s get back to my own monotonous history.

Michael Jackson’s Children — Who Are They Really?

Considering the countless millions of Michael Jackson fans out there, I know that this subject will touch a few raw nerves, but I am going to raise it anyway.

When I told a friend that I was writing a post about MJ’s children, her immediate response was, “Leave them alone. They are wonderful, healthy children. When the children are older, they may begin asking themselves, ‘Who are my biological parents? How did I get here?’ In the meantime, people should just leave them alone.”  Spoken like a true Jackson fan. Well, I too am a fan, but one with a very inquiring mind.

According to whomever you choose to believe, MJ’s children were born of

Naked Pregnant Celebrities on Parade

Boomers, do you remember back in 1968, when the musical Hair made its debut on Broadway, and there was much to-do about the nude hippies in the finale of Act 1? The show’s nudity was a first for Broadway.

Over time, naked celebrities and nude scenes in movies and other public venues has become so prevalent that it is boring. Perhaps that is why, in 1991, photographer Annie Leibovitz and Vanity Magazine got creative and decided to one-up things by putting a seven month pregnant Demi Moore on the magazine cover.  Since then, pregnant celebrities have been jumping on the Lamaze bandwagon to go with the flow.

African American actress Nia Long is now following the trend of Demi Moore, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Erykah Badu,Tia Mowry and a growing list of other celebrity women who, while in advance stages of pregnancy, bare their
