The dynamic duo of Prosecutors Jeff Ashton and Linda Drane Burdick started the 4th of July fireworks yesterday morning with an explosive delivery of an impassioned closing argument in the case against the woman who former prosecutor and television host, Nancy Grace, nicknamed Tot Mom. The jury listened and common sense apparently prevailed. The effectiveness of the prosecution team’s rebuttal, particularly the playing of a profanity-tinted, jail-house recorded phone conversation between Casey, her family members and Casey’s friend may have helped seal the accused woman’s fate.
The emotional toll of days of watching the intense court proceedings unfold on television screens nationwide extracted tears of relief from numerous doting grandparents, and people in general throughout the country who are seeking justice for Caylee. Is it curtains for Casey Anthony? The jury verdict will be announced today at 2:15 ET.
Potpourri-101 is my newborn baby. She arrived in the blogosphere three weeks ago. Although she made a colorful and controversial entrance, sprouting off about Harold Camping’s Dooms Day prediction (see post below), she is still an infant. 
Today, Potpourri looks rather bland, except for that cute little colorful theme headband she is wearing. But as does any newborn, she will undergo physical changes as she grows. And as she continues to develop, Potpourri may take on an entirely different appearance.
